Amber Lelli

Interdisciplinary artist Amber Lelli is interested in exploring concepts, asking questions, and choosing the medium and materials best fit for those ideas. Looking through her portfolio you will witness everything from bronze surreal portraiture to innovative marquetry and colorful prints. Amber holds a BFA from Middle Tennessee State University in Studio Art and has shown her work throughout the nation, winning various awards and scholarships along the way. She also has a background as a commercial artist creating public works and themed environments for businesses, movie productions, music festivals, and The National Bible Museum in Washington, D.C. As an artist, sometimes educator, and entrepreneur, Amber has a desire to push, examine, and understand the potential of art beyond typical conventions and contribute to society in a way that leads to tangible help, innovative policy, and creative solutions to some of the problems facing our local and national communities.

Lexicon Series Collectors Set One

 lex·i·con  noun

  1. The vocabulary of a person, language, or branch of knowledge.

Lexicon Series is an ongoing series started in 2015. Every year I keep a list of words and concepts that stand out to me. Many of the phrases are popular sayings and feelings of the year while others are autobiographical. Once I have my list I go through them and play word games. For example, adding a different suffix to the end or beginning to create duality in the phrase or highlight words within words to bring about additional meaning. I then create an oil painting in response to the word or phrase. As of 2021 Lexicon Series is over 80 paintings strong and continues to grow. When experiencing these paintings a story emerges of our collective vocabulary and human experience. I love hearing how each phrase is interpreted by the viewer, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and share your experience. In this inaugural collectors set I have selected 9 of the most popular paintings. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Each Set includes:

1 Handmade Clamshell Box

1 Certificate of Authenticity w/ Edition #, Artist Signature, and Date

9 Lexicon Series Archival Prints (5 ⅞” x 8 ¼” each) : Over it Once it’s over., Dichotomy, Contradictions., …wondering…where…you…are…, Moral Code, More and More, (un)resolved, Happiness Machine., I like you. In my mind.
