Scott Zieher
There’s something nostalgic about an antique piece of paper. The smell, the alteration of its color, and for Scott Zieher, the ties to an abstract view of life. Zieher is a collector of fine papers, modern-aged magazines, and more. His collages mix these materials with memories, thoughts of his family, some spray paint, and fixative, to bring to us a glimpse into the present through the past. Zieher is also a talented writer of poetry, bringing together abstract and representational words that read as surreal pieces of fine art.
